Dinosaur Egg Cheat Help

Item spawning in Stardew Valley isn't accomplished through typical commands. Instead, it involves a cheat method where you name your character, or an animal, with the item code of the desired item, enclosed in square brackets [ and ]. Include the brackets when naming.

Spawn Using Animal Name

To spawn this item, buy an animal (we recommend a chicken because it is the cheapest) from Marnie's Ranch, name it [107]. You will then receive the Dinosaur Egg item.

Spawn Using Character Name

Since you can only set your character's name once at the game's inception, we advise using the animal naming method.

However, if you opt for this method, name your character [107]while creating your save file. When you converse with any villager who mentions your name in their dialogue, like Gus at the Stardrop Saloon, you'll receive the Dinosaur Egg item.

Dinosaur Egg Information
The dinosaur egg can be used to hatch, unsurprisingly, a dinosaur. To do this, you must place this dinosaur egg in any incubator and wait 12 days for it to hatch. The newly hatched dinosaur will create a dinosaur egg every 7 days. You can obtain dinosaur eggs in Artifact Spots in The Mountains and find them within treasure chests.

The Dinosaur Egg is an artifact and an animal product.

Initially, a Dinosaur Egg can be found by digging up an Artifact Spot in The Mountains (including the Quarry), in Fishing Treasure Chests after reaching Fishing level 2 and having previously found at least one artifact, dropped from a Pepper Rex, foraged on Prehistoric Floors in the Skull Cavern, or won in the Crane Game in the Movie Theater.

Dinosaur Eggs can be put into an incubator in a Big or Deluxe Coop to hatch a Dinosaur 12 days later (6 days with the Coopmaster Profession). Mature and fed dinosaurs will produce Dinosaur Eggs every 7 days.
